There's a new community initiative going around where I live right now- specifically, with kids at home for the foreseeable future, homeowners are being encouraged to put teddy bears in their windows so kids can go "hunting" for them when they go outside to play.
As of today, there's a giant teddy bear taking up residence in our front window. He'll be there for the next while.
Apparently, there's quite a number of these bears adorning the windows of houses around town. They even have their own Instagram page. But aside from being incredibly cute, it's a reminder that we can still be social while socially distancing. Community initiatives like these are a great way for all of us to feel connected, even if we have to stay physically apart. In this case it's incredibly cute... and also incredibly heartwarming.
