For the last week or so, I've come to develop an appreciation for e-Readers.
Inspired by a conversation with my aunt about a week ago, I took the plunge and got my hands on a digital copy of Outlander, by Diana Gabaldon.
And now I'm obsessed.
Seriously- now every coffee or lunch break I take, I'm on the couch, flipping through this novel that I can only describe as addictive. There was one point the other day where I was annoyed that I actually had to go back to work... I would've rather stayed where I was, instead of centrifuging cow dung (shocker).
Point is, we're kind of limited what we can do recreationally these days. But some options still do exist (and are much safer than venturing out in public, even if things are indeed gradually opening up again). And in the case of this book specifically, the Highlands of Scotland in the year 1743 are proving quite the escape.
