It's been a while since the last time I've said anything here.
So we went to Boston - the long awaited event - and made it there after more airline delays than I care to mention. We then attended 2 days of conference prep before catching covid and spending days masked in a tiny hotel room. Then our flight got cancelled home, and there was the stress of being rerouted, giving us a 30 minute connection in a massive airport.
But hey, we made it home, and we're feeling good - that's all that really matters, right?
So yeah, needless to say I haven't been going to work these past two days like I was supposed to (ya know, since I've been isolating). So now I'll be going in 3 days this week, plus next week. Meaning: French is now up in the air. That's the way the cookie crumbles, I suppose - I'm an adult now, with a career and subsequent job-related commitments.
I've done some prep for English, anyways. Well, the units have been roughly mapped out. Gym... yeah, that still has some work to do. But hey, I got my official teaching certificate in the mail today, so now I can say I'm a certified teacher! Though I knew it was coming, it's nice having the paperwork and card officially in my possession, tucked safely away between a filing cabinet, and in my wallet (as apparently, is legally required).
So back to work tomorrow we go, and then it's off to a wedding on Saturday, before even more work next week. This month isn't exactly off to the start I was expecting, but I'm resolved to make the most of it.
"Let July be July, and let August be August", and all that...
