This academic year is, by all measures, flying by. With reading week having come and gone, that means that Education courses are in the latter half, and we're flying towards our second practicum block of the year.
In our Faculty though, February also means council elections.
And, in some weird twist of fate, I threw my hat into the ring. I wound up on the ticket for one of the executive positions, and as I was informed by an email late last night, come next year, I'll be one of the "vice sticks" (since we have no time for the word "president", apparently).
If you had asked me in September, I had no inkling that I'd even have considered a run, let alone to become an exec. Heck, this time last year I had no idea I'd even be in the Faculty of Education for certain. But, stranger things have happened (especially this past 12 or so months), and here we are.
One could say I'm rather excited.
