For those of us here in Canada, today is Thanksgiving (yes, to any Americans reading this, we celebrate just slightly earlier than you do south of the border). Which meant that yesterday, I was with my family stuffing myself with turkey and pie.
Not a bad time, if you ask me.
Today, then, has been a day of lazing about, going for a walk, hanging around at home... again, not a bad time. And as the final hours of the Thanksgiving weekend wind down, it's important to realize that there's a lot to be thankful for.
That's not to say every day has been perfectly smooth sailing - I've alluded to that in past entries here. But I'm lucky to have a good family and good friends, to be continuing my education, to have a place to live, and to have a good job. No matter how the days unfold or where life takes you, it's important to remember to search for the good in each day. Life is good, and so it's important to be thankful.
So with that, a challenge for the week: look for the good in every day. Be mindful to be thankful.
I'd wager it'll make the days just a little brighter.
