Sitting in the heart of Winnipeg, Assiniboine park is arguably one of the biggest attractions in the city.
Home to the Zoo, the Leo Mol sculpture garden, and a smattering of other attractions (like bike rentals), it's a great place to talk a walk (or drive) rain or shine. Walking around there today, it's clear to see that the park is a family favourite. No matter the age, it's nice to get out with others and have a nice time, before it inevitably snows again.
The added benefit is the proximity to Portage Ave. Crossing the bridge in the park, you're suddenly North of the river... right across from Sergeant Sundae. And though we didn't go for ice cream today, it undoubtedly would've made a walk in the park that much sweeter.
Hopefully the weather forecast is wrong, and it won't snow tomorrow, so we can get back out there soon!
