The weeks lately have felt long and drudgey. Like a series of tasks that need to be completed, with no end in sight.
Thankfully, that's changing somewhat this weekend.
Yes, at long last, Louis Riel day is upon us, and with that comes the long weekend. For many university students, it's also reading week. Sadly not the case for us education students, but we do have another glorious two days off before returning to a shorter week on Wednesday.
In the meantime, there's calls to be had, coffee to be consumed, and shifts to be worked. All in all, the next few days may be busy, but no doubt they'll be good as well.
Since the pandemic began, I've come to recognize the importance of acknowledging and being grateful for the little things. So whether it's talking and visiting with family, celebrating my newest gig, or just relaxing at home, I'm resolved to enjoy the time off and the break from the usual grind.
If the weather would improve slightly, I'm sure that would make this weekend even better.
