four days as a student teacher

I've lasted 4 days as a student teacher. And wow, it's been crazy.
Since I started Monday, I've marked quizzes, helped prep labs, created answer keys, help instruct in the aforementioned lab, administered a makeup quiz, and had a really good time doing it all.
My cooperating teacher just graduated back in the spring, so she's been a great help as I've settled in. Sadly, she's just on a term, so tomorrow is actually her last day- but my full time CT comes back Monday, and I've heard he's also great, so I'm excited to get along with it.
I feel more comfortable than I thought I would, especially given the COVID situation. The school has been doing a great job from what I can tell, and I have yet to feel worried. The culture at the school is a really positive one (especially amongst the staff) so that's eased the transition greatly - and a bonus is the fact that there's four of us from the same university, so it doesn't feel isolating. And I got a parking pass. That always helps things.
So yes- the 80% of my first week that I've done has been great. And I'm sure tomorrow will be just as good too. But it'll be nice getting a chance to sleep in this weekend, no doubt!
