happy (pandemic) halloween!

Happy Halloween world!

Man this is a not a good year for trick-or-treating.

Which is too bad honestly, because Halloween on a Saturday would've meant more time for the kids to collect their candy (wind aside). Looking outside my window though, it seems like most people chose to pass on the candy collection this year - the responsible thing to do.

Personally, we put together small gift bags for the kids next door, and then my 3 little cousins. Two of them came by last night to show off their costumes (and yes, we adhered to social distancing!) - a very cute puppy, and a perfectly inflated pumpkin! So they picked up their candy, aaaand even dropped off some for my sister and I! That's an even better system if you ask me, since normally trick-or-treaters don't leave candy at the houses they hit up - how's that for a pandemic perk?!

If we're talking about things getting spooky and scary, it's definitely pretty bone-chilling to see the case count lately. So it's nice to see people doing the responsible thing and staying home! Eat candy in front of the TV this year people, it's the one time you can defend that choice as actually "being responsible", ha!
