hello spring break

Well it's official: I've survived week one of practicum.

And now, after 5 whole days of hard work (I'm only half sarcastic here), I get a week off - yay!

Admittedly, there's still working and prepping yet to be done, but the next few days will be full of unencumbered work and relaxing, without the imminent stress of feeling like I have other tasks yet to complete.

We're back to the grindstone April 4th, and then the finish line is a little less than a month away: May 3rd marks my last ever day as an undergrad (I'd say student, but I'll be well and truly moving up in the academic world soon enough, starting my Master's this spring - this still feels surreal to say).

Though the weather hasn't fully gotten on board with spring yet, it's undeniable: the sun is shining, which works wonders to improve the mood. I managed to get to a council social last night, trying 10 pin bowling and meeting up with people that have become close friends, despite completing this entire degree online. I even got an invite to a friends' wedding - go figure!

Follow that up with breakfast this morning, and I think it's fair to say that this break is well and truly off to a solid start. Despite the working and prepping that will come with this week, I'm excited to see what else is in store.

Bring it on, spring break!
