Something crazy happened in the last few days.
I downloaded this app onto my iPad called Procreate, found a few tutorials online, and got to drawing.
This probably isn't shocking for most people, but it is for me. Up until now, the limit to my artistic talent was somewhere are "decent stick man". But amazingly, I was able to produce some good graphic designs. I even managed to freehand an Easter egg in honour of the holiday.
Now I'm not saying I'm good at art all of a sudden- though I wish, that's far from the truth. But I have been busy sketching, and the feeling of having something to work on- something that I can control- is nice when there's so much out of my control in the rest of my life.
Never thought I'd be one to talk about my perceived "artistic success" in any capacity, let alone a public forum like this, but it's taught me yet another important lesson: hobbies help keep you sane. It's worth picking up something new, even if you didn't classically think of it as your forte.
