it's beginning to look a lot like christmas

Or the pandemic version, at least.

My first Christmas list has been sent out. The Christmas candles are ready for lighting. Christmas songs are playing. This year has flown by (thankfully), and we're rounding the corner into *jolly season*.

Except it's a little weird this year, isn't it?

For me personally, there will be no big Christmas family get together. Heck, my cousin is stuck down in California and won't be coming home, for obvious reasons.

Despite that though, I'm optimistic some good will still come this holiday season. Maybe it's because I don't have exams this year (yay for being a B. Ed student), or that I'm just pumped that this shitty year is coming to an end. Either way, Christmas can still be good (albeit it strange).

Last year, my sister, the aforementioned cousin and I went to go see the Cats movie in theatre. My cousin fell asleep, my sister hated it, and I was so irritated I was ready to scream at some points. We thought that was the worst thing that could ever happen at Christmastime. My, how ignorant we were...

But hey! The Yuletide season means the arrival of 2021 is imminently upon us. Take hope, everyone, that better days lie ahead, preferably not pandemic ones.
