We were doing so well.
And then it all changed.
Though a Winnipegger really shouldn't be complaining about the cold, here I am. Frozen. Not wanting to leave the house. And, missing the "warm" days of winter.
It's funny when you think about it: we all lament in the winter about how cold it is, conveniently forgetting the inconvenient truth that we choose to stay here. Then as the cold melts away into summer, and the province becomes a sauna, we complain about the heat. In spring we complain about the slush getting our cars all dirty, and then in the fall, we gripe about how the deep freeze is imminent.
It would seem like we just can't win.
