I cannot lie, when I first got my teaching assignment, the thought of me teaching gym was an absolute farce.
Except now, on the day before starting my first day of work, I find myself actually quite excited about the prospect. Prep is minimal. It's a fun class. And it comprises 3/5ths of my teaching load. Only some English and literacy in there, and numeracy (the sum total of which will be ran by Jump math). So basically, the nature of phys. ed., combined with the ability to simply use resources others have made, it looks like I'm going to be having a streamlined year, prep-wise.
I must say, I'm not mad about it.
And so, with the final hours of summer slowly waning, I'm not yet nervous.
I'm resolved to get in there, do my job to the best of my ability; I'm resolved to make this a good year.
This summer flew by far too quickly, but thankfully, it proved to be a good few months. Simply put, it's on to the next adventure.
