watch woes = fixed

I mentioned the other day that my Series 1 Apple Watch crapped out on me.

Today, I was once again reminded that I have really, really good parents. Because, on a trip to Costco, they bought me a new smartwatch- the Apple Watch, series 3, as another grad gift. So, after updating the iOS on my phone and running through the normal setup steps, the world is once again as it should be: smartwatch adorning my wrist and all.

I even got a size increase- I now have an extra 4 mm of screen I'll be carrying around on my wrist. I'm just determined to keep it in better order this time- I'm hoping to avoid swelling batteries with this one!

It's crazy how "watches" now are actually cellphones, iPods, GPS navigation systems, calendars... oh yeah, and they can tell time too. I didn't realize when I got my first Apple Watch how hooked I'd get on it. It's just infinitely more convenient to have everything filtered through your wrist, as opposed to digging out your phone. Honestly, my wrist feels naked without it, and I'm glad to have it (albeit a more updated "it") adorning my wrist once more. And to boot, I'm definitely going to be slightly paranoid about making sure it stays in good order (not that I did anything wrong before, but I really, really don't want it to crap out on me again!).

Thanks parents!
